With the Might of Angels by Andrea Davis Pinkney
Dawnie is an intelligent African American girl who meets the standards of an all-white school. It was written referring to the mid-50s and she had gotten made fun of. I like this book because it talks about her struggles in that school, and also she plays baseball too.

The Wrestler (Movie)
The Wrestler was so good! A lot of it was pretty graphic and stuff but the plot was good and I loved the ending. It wasn't generic at all and the acting was very good. NOT GOOD TO SEE IF YOU'RE YOUNG! It would be pretty scary haha. Rating: 4 out of 5

Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
Dairy Queen is a very fun and humorous book. It's about a girl named D.J. and her life on her family's farm. While training Brian Nelson, quarterback on the Hawley football team, D.J. gains interest in trying out for the Red Bend football team. That could be a problem since she would be playing against Brian, someone who she hated before, but got to know over the weeks and became friends with. That, and other family problems, how will D.J. survive with all of this?

Last Shot by John Feinstein
I play and love basketball so I knew what the story meant. Last Shot was really good! I liked how it was interesting and how the author included good use of words! The ending was a big surprise too!
