5 Stars: I recently read this book and the concept was very interesting and unique. After two boys receive a call telling them they will die in less than 24 hours, they meet up to live their last day to the fullest. This book is a great story about friendship, bravery, and treating every day like an adventure.

5 Stars: Oh my god, I love this series! It talks about Indian mythology, but at the same time it is super entertaining to read. I also like the way this author makes every single thing in this book so intriguing.

This book explores severe anxiety which disrupts the protagonist's life. She is a sixteen year old living in suburban Indiana, trying to get through high school with her friends.

4.5 Stars: I thought the book was both very good and also interesting. I liked how it covered racism in the US. I also liked to see the portrayals of the struggle of a young black man and as a high school kid.

5 Stars: Amazing scifi book that is accompanied by a twenty book series. The book is perfect for those who like strategy and geopolitics. The book explores many themes, such as stress, politics, and humanity. Orson Scott Card skillfully illustrates hos views on the world, and the effect is amplified when the entire series is read.

4 Stars: This is a very good book. It has amazing characters and also a very unique and detailed plot which keeps the reader interested. It is about a nerdy girl who switches bodies with the most popular girl at school.

3 Stars: It's an interesting book; everyone I know before I read the book said it was interesting. I discovered there are many twists and turns. It's a good book.

4 Stars: I am currently reading this book and it is about a group of thieves who need to steal paintings from a museum in order to save Kat's (the leader's) father. I think it is a good book but can be confusing at times, especially when they form a plan because it is always explained thoroughly.

5 Stars:  The Glass Castle is an intense autobiography, describing the life of a young girl growing up in poverty.  Her parents are absent minded and jobless, attempting to raise Jeanette and her younger sister.  This is a relatively easy read and very interesting.  I highly recommend.

4 Stars: It was a good coming of age book about a teenage girl’s struggles.  It is also very romantic as she falls in love with a jock.

4 Stars: I think it is an amazing book with a unique storyline and plot twist.  It is about a group of people who are in a city which is starting to fall apart.  It is unknown how to escape the city \and it keeps losing resources.  The characters’ personalities are explained in depth.  Overall, I definitely recommend this book to other people.

4 Stars: The things that I most enjoy about Catcher in the Rye are the adventures that Holden( the main character) goes on throughout the book.  I also enjoy his personality and how he is never afraid to take risks for what he believes in.

4 Stars: I feel like the book gave me a whole new view on the Iranian Revolution. From the American p.o.v. it seemed as though it was a bloody, meaningless war but this book made it so much more detailed.  The way it was narrated, the intricate artwork and the subtle but deep references made for an amazing experience

5 Stars: This novel is probably one of the best books I have ever read.  It had the right amount of suspense, mystery and a bit of romance to keep the reader in check.  This book allows you to ask questions and form thoughts that will later be answered as you read the book.  I think the author does/did a great job by adding multiple perspectives, as it gives the reader insight on every character, even the less relevant ones.

5 Stars: It gave a very close perspective of Isabel, the main character.  The author captured little moments of this girl’s life and portrayed them very well.  It was quite thrilling when they escaped from Isabel’s owners.

4 Stars: I really love Encanto because the visuals were very good and beautiful.  The soundtrack also is super catchy and I’ve even added a few songs to my playlist.

4 Stars: It was a pretty good book with a lot of plot twists and a good storyline.  It was very descriptive and absorbing (if that makes sense). I got to a certain part and the couldn’t stop reading.  The downside is that it doesn’t have a sequel.

4.5 Stars: This book is about a boy and a girl who meet in the most unlikely of places- on the ledge of the tower at their school, staring down at the pavement below.  After that day they get to know each other and the reasons each were on the edge of that tower on that day.  I would recommend this book to teen readers since it can be an uplifting story in the end and can help people who are possibly struggling with their own issues.

New Kid by Jerry Craft

 




5 Stars: I really like this book because from a diverse perspective, it is really frustrating and understandable at the same time.  The illustrations were funny and the book is really recommendable.

4 Stars: I liked this book because of all the plot twists and magic in it.  I also like the romance part of it too.
