Comprised of a series of insights and reflections on his past and present life, Vannegut's novel is ripe with a satirical sort of cynicism and wit and gives the reader plenty to think on and apply it to their own life.

Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams by Sylvia Plath

Although Plath's writing was as paranormal, flawless, and as engaging as normal the order in which her selections were placed was awkward and made little sense with seemingly unrelated essays, short stories, and journal entries thrown together, making the book unreadable as a whole. However, each individual entry was superb and I enjoyed each with no dependence on the subject matter as Plath can make a topic to read about. Rating: 3 out of 5
