Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami

We don't have this book, but check out our other Murakami titles!
Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman is a collection of short stories ranging on a variety of topics. Thought provoking and relatable, though at times a bit abstract. BWSW contains many memorable quotes that stick with the reader long after he or she has finished the book. The stories can be read individually or all together. My personal favorite story was Birthday Girl; however, several other stories are also popular. BWSW is an interesting read that people from all walks of life can enjoy.

All Fall Down by Ally Carter

Grace Blakely, the main character, is determined to find who killed her mother, but ends up finding a twisted answer. I can relate to this, because I too sometimes think about something one way, and then learn it goes the other way. This book is realistic fiction. I think this book is amazing, because the mystery is so thrilling as Grace finds out so many things!!!!!

Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage

It is a mix of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. A boy gets kidnapped after he was born. Meanwhile, the queen gives birth to a girl and shortly after the queen is assassinated (killed). The princess is given to the family who lost their son. Read on...

A Gift of Magic by Lois Duncan

The book starts with a recap to the past to explain how Nancy got her powers and how they affect all the characters around her in a mysterious way in order to entice the reader. I liked this book because it was a short but detailed read.

Warriors: Bramblestar's Storm by Erin Hunter

A giant storm. A Clan of cats. Who wins? In Bramblestar's Storm, Bramblestar, leader of ThunderClan after the Great Battle, faces an upcoming storm that threatens the Clan. He is forced to move ThunderClan out of its home in the hollow. What happens next? I love this book! Bramblestar is my favorite warrior cat out of them all, and the Erin Hunter team did a magnificent job on this super edition. I love the manga too! :)

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

This thrilling novel will keep you reading due to its nail-biting cliffhangers. I personally loved this book because of the relatable characters and how you could get attached to them. This sci-fi series about a teenager put into a fight to the death against 23 enemies has turned into a movie that swept the nation by storm.

Lost Stars by Claudia Gray

It's like Romeo + Juliet met Star Wars, but they were CHILDHOOD friends and were on the same side for a while.

Wonder by R.J. Palacio

Have you ever been different from the crowd? August Pullman knows. It's the norm for him. Born with a facial abnormality, he's been homeschooled his whole life. Everyone calls him names, like freak and zombie. But as he starts at a middle school, he learns that being different isn't always bad. This fiction novel has claimed many high awards, and is reassuring for "different" kids who are feeling a bit self-conscious.

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

There are some books that you'll never want to put down. The Harry Potter series is an awesome series filled with suspense and a great plot. This series is about Harry Potter, who is always challenged during his years at Hogwarts School of Magic. Throughout the books, Harry and his friends face challenging fun adventures.

Seekers: Great Bear Lake by Erin Hunter

Come and follow three bear cubs on an adventure that you'll never forget! Lusa our black bear comes from the zoo with a message for her friend's son. Kallik our polar bear lost her mother. Toklo our grizzly bear was abandoned. When you read Seekers: Great Bear Lake, you'll embark on a journey you'll never forget. "Life is hard. It's always been that way."

I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb

It was a good book and it was a true story.
