Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami

Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman is a collection of short stories ranging on a variety of topics. Thought provoking and relatable, though at times a bit abstract. BWSW contains many memorable quotes that stick with the reader long after he or she has finished the book. The stories can be read individually or all together. My personal favorite story was Birthday Girl; however, several other stories are also popular. BWSW is an interesting read that people from all walks of life can enjoy.

All Fall Down by Ally Carter

Grace Blakely, the main character, is determined to find who killed her mother, but ends up finding a twisted answer. I can relate to this, because I too sometimes think about something one way, and then learn it goes the other way. This book is realistic fiction. I think this book is amazing, because the mystery is so thrilling as Grace finds out so many things!!!!!

Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage

A Gift of Magic by Lois Duncan

The book starts with a recap to the past to explain how Nancy got her powers and how they affect all the characters around her in a mysterious way in order to entice the reader. I liked this book because it was a short but detailed read.

This thrilling novel will keep you reading due to its nail-biting cliffhangers. I personally loved this book because of the relatable characters and how you could get attached to them. This sci-fi series about a teenager put into a fight to the death against 23 enemies has turned into a movie that swept the nation by storm.
