The Giver offered a perspective I haven't seen in a lot of dystopian novels. Lowry used imagery and other literary elements to bring her great ideas to life. Jonas' story was very engaging, and it made me think and speculate beyond my normal range of thought. Overall, The Giver is a great novel and a must-read for everyone who enjoys science fiction/fantasy or dystopian.
