The Secret Life of Bees, by Sue Monk Kidd
I read this book for summer reading in 9th grade, Honors English. It was an amazing book about a white girl who has lost her mother and finds a home with a family of black women. She learns that there are many women who love her and will act as her mother. I highly recommend this book to all people who love to read.
