It is a good book. It has plot twists, it is very detailed, it has a nice mission and a great journey between the whole book. It has lots of action and drama and a very great setting/mood.

The Golden Spoon by Jessa Maxwell
The Golden Spoon is a murder mystery that takes place in competition sort of like the Great British Baking Show. This book was about 300 pages long and it took 250 pages for a murder to happen. This book was very slowly paced and there was an unnecessary amount of character backstory. The ending was very rushed and predictable and very anti-climatic. Overall I wouldn't recommend this book unless you like slow paced books and aren't actually looking for a murder mystery.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I think that this book gave a very interesting insight into the location and time period the book took place. The ending of the story also had a very unique plot twist. I also believe that this book teaches many lessons.

The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies
This book in my opinion is a good book because it teaches kids more about business and some business phrases. It also teaches kids about competitors and competition between businesses. It is a good book to learn about businesses for kids.

Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson
It's a great book to read (especially for 8th graders)! It took me some time to adapt to the way it was written, but now when I re-read it, it makes more sense every time. It's really fun to read, the author's tone makes us have different moods in every other scene! Overall, AMAZING book!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry
A modern twist on the small-town romance trope, the book is about a girl named Nora Stephens who is the villainess of everyone's romance. Funny, relatable, and heartwarming, this is a great way to describe this book.

My Friend the Enemy by Dan Smith
A plane crashes right in front of Peter's house! He realizes it's a German plane! Everyone died except one. Ummm, that's not good. The soldiers are after that German. Peter and Kim find this wanted German in the woods and decide to help him. (I would've ran, but ok.) I really love this story as it always catches your attention. The climax was also very interesting.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer
Books. They're all like different realities, different world, held in your hand. The Host is an excellent example of that. It is our world, but when aliens come down and start taking over our minds, banishing us completely. Melanie, though, will not be silenced. This is an amazing book, and I love it.

Nothing Else but Miracles by Kate Albus
It is a great book that talks about how the Holocaust in Germany affected a lot of families in the U.S. The main character has two brothers, one older(17) and the other one 8. Their mom died so her father has been taking care of them, but this year he was pulled in to help fight in Germany. How will they survive without their dad?
The Prison Healer series by Lynette Noni
This was (and is) the greatest book series! It's the perfect combination of fantasy, humor, and romance. I completely fell in love with each character. This is actually my first romantasy series that I've read, and this series is what got me into reading romantasy.
The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling
This is a really good book because it teaches you what happens if you eat chocolate every day in your life.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel
My rating for Life of Pi is 4.5. The main reason is it is a survival fiction. It is a great book; if I were to recommend this book to someone. The reason I cut .5 is from page 59-79 it was the most boring parts of my life.

The Awakening by Kate Chopin
The story is about a woman named Edna Pontellier, whose husband isn’t abusive, but he is dismissive of her issues, so she cheats on him. She realizes that there is no place for women in her time to be comfortable with their sexuality, so she drowns herself at the end of the novel. I liked it and thought Edna was a good and interesting flawed character.

I really enjoyed this book because it had a great character list and really read into the emotions of the main character. There was a lot of meaning behind the book and in school we analyzed a lot in almost every chapter.
Dracula by Bram Stoker
The book was actually really interesting. At first it was kind of boring but then it started to get interesting. The author built the characters and the world in a really interesting way. Would recommend.
