Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier
Ghosts is such a good fictional graphic novel it almost makes you think it's just realistic fiction. It follows Cat and her family who move to a windy place because of her sister's illness. When Cat first moves in she constantly gets told about the ghosts that come out. The book even tells some facts about the day of the dead!

Akhenaten: Dweller in Truth by Naquib Mahfouz
An informative book which provides many opinions on the mysterious pharaoh of Egypt, Akhenaten.
Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
I loved it! Eleanor's home life wasn't easy, and totally relatable. The author used too much profanity and it wasn't quite realistic. I loved that Eleanor is earnest, quirky, awkward, and real.
