Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
I really enjoyed Speak. It is kind of predictable but I think the author was going for that. You follow Melinda, an outcast, through a state of depression, but you won't know what got her there.
The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton
The Outsiders is really good. It's about how these greasers (hoods) were living in the hood and they were just living an o.k. life. It is a good book and I think you guys will enjoy it!
