Tex by S.E. Hinton
This book pulled me in on the first page. The main character, Tex, is a character that many can relate to, be it through his adventurous disposition or his struggle to make sense of his teenage years. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys realistic fiction or anyone looking to remember what time was like as a teen.

The Elite by Kiera Cass
In The Selection, we leave America Singer at the palace, attempting to decide between her first love, Aspen and the Prince, Maxon, who she has feelings for. She just doesn't quite understand them. In The Elite, the struggle continues, getting tougher and tougher as we race towards the moment when Maxon (America) must choose.
Deception Point by Dan Brown
A fast-paced mix of drama, action, and mystery--this novel was impossible to put down. Dan Brown once again outdid himself, with this story of betrayal against the U.S. Government. Together, Michael Tolland, a world famous oceanographer, and Rachel Sexton travel to remote parts of the globe to discover the secrets behind the ultimate betrayal.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were certainly relatable in one way or another and I found them to be very likeable. With a good plot and a rather unique format, this book is a book every teen should read.
Wicked by Gregory Maguire
Though it's a book for teens/young adults, it's a very good book. Details are given about Elphaba's life before she became the "Wicked Witch of the West" and Glinda, before the "Good Witch of the North." It's full of romance, suspense and back stories.
